A hermaphrodite baby, born some two years, six months ago, has been taken to an orphanage in Ebolowa for care. The baby named Kelvin was born with the male and female genital organs.(Elvis Teke)The male sex organ is located just above the female genital organ; both have continued developing as the child grows up.
According to the grand mother, the child leaves and plays normally like any other child but for the fact that Kelvin uses both the male and female sex organs while urinating.
To make the sad situation even worst, Kelvin’s mother is deaf and dumb. Kelvin has been under the care of her grand mother from birth.
Meantime, medical doctors say a number of medical tests will be carried on the child. The tests will pave the way for a surgical operation to eliminate one of the sex organs.
Though Kelvin seems physically alright, his mates in the orphanage look at him with a lot of scepticism. He is often abandoned to himself as no child plays with him.
Kelvin’s grand mother has made appeal to the public to help her raise funds required for the surgical operation on the child.

When (s)he grows up, this kid could have the rare privilege of trying both genders’ sexuality. Please don’t deprive him of his freedom of choice ! Don’t mutilate him ! To avoid discrimination, simply hide his hermaphrodite condition from others…
